Back in August, a woman in a store parking lot that worked there backed into my car. She caused almost $ 2,000 worth of damage. I called her insurance company several times and they said they were doing a further investigation. She wasn’t on the insurance holder’s policy although there was insurance on the car. I lost most of my information on the accident.
-Can I still be reimbursed for the damages or is it too late?
-What should I do next?

you need to file a small claims case in court ,as well as notify the dot of the state in which the accident happened. you probably should of done this sooner but I don’t think it is too late. have you been regularly contacting them asking for payment? you need to call the dot in your state and find out what your local laws are.

PIP = Personal Injury Protection. Covers injuries to you and people in your car.
Property Damage Liability. Covers the property of others damaged by you or someone driving your car.
Bodily Injury Liability. Covers injuries to others in crashes that are your fault.
Collision. Covers damage to your car that is not covered by an at fault driver’s insurance policy.
Comprehensive. Covers damages or loss attributable to things other than crashes, e.g. theft, fire, storm damage.
Uninsured Motorist’s Fund. Pays for damages to you and/or your car resulting from a crash caused by someone who has no insurance. Your insurance pays and then sues the at fault driver to recover their loss.

The cost of your car insurance should not be influenced by the fact you are T1! It doesn’t here in the U.S. anyway.
