Question by Princess Hiccup: Would my parents car insurance cover a car bought in another state?
I am at college in Alabama and I am from Washington. I was wondering if I bought a car in Alabama if it would be covered by my parents insurance in Washington since I do not have Alabama residency? Would the car need Alabama or Washington tags? We have Geico and I am still under my parents coverage.

Only if your parents insurance policy allowed the car to be added, and they added it. It would need tags in which ever state you are a resident. If you are paying out of state tuition, you can register it in Washington, if you are paying in state tuition, you are a resident of Alabama and would need to be registered and insured there.
